Drum Roll Please ……

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to give everyone a post-Christmas update on the final fund-raising tally for the Fujian Healing home.  In total we were able to raise $1500 ……. $844.86 of which was raised by the girls.  Needless to say we were really proud of each and every one of the girls and how they took on this project with such passion and conviction.  It appears as if Love Without Boundaries (LWB) will include their achievement  in their next news letter ….. I will post it when it becomes available.

Wonder Kids

The three families have decided to use the money to support the following;

Sponsorship of Anwen - Anwen is a beautiful little girl who arrived in the healing home recently and is waiting to have hernia surgery.

Hospital Stay – Anwen was in the hospital recently with pneumonia – she is fine and now back at the healing home.  With this children, unexpected hospital stays/care is a constant reality, and funds must be raised each time a child is admitted into hospital for these unexpected illnesses.  Part of the money raised was donated to create a fund that can be used to offset these unexpected hospital stays.

Baby Formula – $500 was donated specifically for the purchasing of formula for the children …to help fatten them up a little.  Formula is the #1 need for the healing home.

Sponsorship of  Blaise - The CAE Coffee Club will be continuing and the profits will be used to sponsor  Blaise (a little boy) during his stay in the healing home.  Blaise is awaiting Cleft lip surgery at the Cleft Mission but he is/was too small and weak. Additionally, Blaise was found to be suffering from mega-colon and will also require surgery to correct the problem. The healing home is waiting for him to gain some weight (which he has already – see second picture) – when he is stronger he will have the surgery on his colon first and then in the future his lip will be repaired.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank everyone for supporting this amazing cause and truly making a difference in these children’s lives.

In Hope,

The Goodfellow’s, Rajewski’s and Poetkers.

    i loved being part of LWB because we are helping children in china and i want to give a thank you to all the people who helped me with the cards and i hope that those kids that we are helping feel very much better and Hailey’s card actually made 25$ for LWB.

    I loved the activity that we did and I hope that someday we get to do it again.

    Love Petra
